SOCIAL NETWORKING DEBATE

Social Networking is good for people , it can help people communicate , has a positive impact on peoples lives, and has lots of safety features so that internet predators wont be able to contact you. Social networking allows people to talk over long distances. If your mom or one of your relatives live oversees and you wanted to see or talk to them you could go on gmail or Facebook and video chat, talk, or message them. Instead of paying for a phone, social networking allows people to voice chat, or on some sites call people for free. If you have a web cam you can video chat face to face with someone. Social networking allows for people to be more social and lets people see each other from far away. Studies have shown that people who use social networking sites have a better quality of life. It has reduced risk of health problems, helped with stroke recovery, and overall well being. It can help people talk to doctors or friends that know what you are going through and they could help you with your problems. People say that social networking is not safe for a lot of children, but most people don't know the facts. Most social networking sites like Facebook and Myspace have an age limit and if under a certain age, like 16 people cannot find them in the general search. People can also make all their information like name, age, and where they live private, so a random person cannot see their information unless they add them as a friend. This also allows people to deny and accept friend requests. Social networking sites also allows for  the user to block people  they dislike, this is very convenient because if the user is being bullied, he can block the bully so that he or she can't message, or communicate with them in any way. this makes social networking really safe. Social networking helps people stay connected, protected, and healthy.
